AirAsia hosted “Santan Food Festival” event where 200 over media and influencers across the region ( Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Brunei, India, China, Taiwan, Japan , South Korea and Australia) have a glimpse into AirAsia inflight meals.

The event is held at RedQ headquarter where we got the chance to see the open-concept of AirAsia office as well. Superb cool office and I wish I am part of AirAsia team too!

The event is graced by AirAsia Group chief executive officer Tony Fernandes. He said “Food is a great unifying factor across the region. What we are doing is bringing the wonderful flavours of Asean into Santan to create a unique food experience, with the vision of replicating the on-ground gourmet experience onboard. The flavour profile and pricing of inflight food has always been a challenge but we believe that with Santan, we can create the first restaurant brand in the sky that is both tasty and affordable.”
The event features meals from across the region and AirAsia aims to provide guests to enjoy and taste the different flavours from different countries during their flight journey. Guests / Passengers can explore the flavours with an affordable pricing while travelling.

Guests/ Passengers are encouraged to pre-book their meals online to availability, enjoy greater savings with the Santan Combo Meal and priority on-board service.

Other than Santan food tasting, there are interactive activities including cooking demonstration by AirAsia Regional Manager of Group Inflight F&B Chef Calvin Soo, dance performances by AirAsia AllStars and internet sensation Assraf Nasir (air steward for Air Asia X).

There is also Instagram contest organized for this event as a team. This is our winning piece! Superb proud of the result!
