Be Alert Crab Lovers! Azur Restaurant is having Crab & Crepes special weekend-only dinner buffer promotion from 25th September till 29th November 2015. For those who are seeking for crabs feast, Azur Restaurant is offering you a creative way of serving crabs dishes.
Azur Restaurant offers varieties spread of Western and Asian signature dishes to diners. With Executive Chef Kiang Siang Heng and the restaurant’s culinary team, they are serving various creations of delectable crab dishes to indulge.
Seafood, Sashimi Station
As usual, sashimi is always in the list of buffet. Diners can enjoy the fresh slices of Snapper, Tuna, Salmon and Tako sashimi. Sushi is available at the counter. Seafood bar is not to be miss with considerably fresh choices.
There are Spanner Rock Crabs, Cold Alaska Crab Claws, Cold Stone Crabs, Poached Tiger Prawns and Freshly Shucked Oysters. I didn’t managed to get the picture of the oysters as it is well-received by diners that it gone off within a split second after serving.
Appetizers & Soups Station
DIY salad counter is available for diners to get their own fix. There are also kueh pie tee with ingredients such as minced crab meet stuffing available for DIY.
I didn’t try the soups but there are two soups from Chef’s personal repertoire of recipe. Asian-style Hot and Sour Crabmeat Soup and the Western King Crab Bisque with Lemon Cream both accompanied by a choice of whole meal bread and baguette.
Hot Asian & Western Crab Dishes
Moving on to the hot cooked dishes, you can expect varied selection of crab and seafood theme Asian and Western dishes. The Asian options are Salted Egg Crab, Singapore Chilli Crab, Wok Fried Cereal Crab, Black Peppercorn Crab and Curry Crab. All these dishes are rotating basis. And of course other dishes such as the deep fried softshell crab with thai coriander chilli, veggies and chicken dishes are available.
As for Western options, there are huge serving of Saffron Rice with Tomato Crab, Baked Whole Barramundi Fish with Crab Meat Herbs Crust, Crispy Dungeness Crab Cakes with Chestnuts in Mango-Pineapple Salsa and Steamed Stone Claw with Zetsy Orange Horseradish Sauce.
Plain crepes are readily available at the counter and you can choose your toppings. Diners can opt for the hot dessert crepe in orange butter sauce. The sweetness taste was not overwhelming. I also had the crepe with nutella and top with one meringue.
Buffet can never be complete with desserts. I love visiting dessert counters during buffet session. There are selection of pastries and sweet desserts to give a sweet ending. Local kuehs are available to indulge. Ice-creams selection is available with toppings ingredients at the side for diners to customize according to their preferences. Chocolate fondue is available for dipping so chocolate lovers would definitely go for it.
Overall, Chef Kiang Siang Heng has put in the effort in creating all kinds of dishes related to crab. Personally think that it is a great idea as diners can indulge in different ways of eating crabs.
