After exploring Plearnwan Hua Hin (Eco Vintage Market), we headed to Cicada Market for our last stop of the day. CICADA refers to Community of Identity Culture Arts & Dynamic Activities. This market is only open from Friday to Sunday and it is an open-market concept among lush garden settings. There are 4 zones in this market which includes Art A La Mode, Cicada Art Factory, Amphitheatre and Cicada Cuisine. So, if you are planning to include this in your itinerary, you will have to arrange your Hua Hin trip over the weekend. The market is located in Khao Takiab area which is approximately 10minutes drive from the centre town of Hua Hin.

Cicada Market is unique in a way that it connects people from different areas such as designers, entrepreneurs, performers, tourists and locals. It is indeed an eye opener exploring the market. We were there around 4.30pm and most of the stall owners are still setting up their booth. Nevertheless, I took snaps on the surroundings for your visual pleasure.
 Other than shopping spree corner, the food zone area offers quite a variety options. You can settle your dinner there as they provide a space for dining. The foods here are local thai, Chinese, fusion and western cuisines. But mind you, the price is not cheap here. The booths do not accept cash payment. You need to go to the counter to exchange with coupons. Once you exchanged to coupons, you can give it to the food stall owners as a payment token.

The Art A La Mode zone is the entire site along the pathways where vendors sell handcrafted items.

 As for the Amphitheater that is located near the entrance, it is a space where you get a chance to see performances by cultural groups and bands.

We didn’t purchase anything from Cicada Market except trying some of their foods. And the balance coupons can return back to the counter to exchange back to cash. What we enjoyed most is the atmosphere here and there are many things to see. People here are generally friendly and relaxing lifestyle. Thus, you will feel comfortable chilling at this open-concept market.

Oh ya, no bargaining is allowed at the stalls. The prices are all fixed.
