[SG EATS] LeVeL33 At MBFC- 3 New Dining Concepts with Beer-Centric Menu
It has been 8 years since I last visited LeVel 33 at Marina Bay Financial Centre (MBFC). Time flies indeed! LeVeL 33 provides dining experience with the view of marina bay and skyline and is the world’s tallest urban microbrewery. The space has just done with 6-week renovation and split into three dining concepts- LeVeL33 Dining Room, LeVeL33 Social and the Terrace.
The full makeover is inspired by the wooden logs used to fire up beer brew-kettles and this custom design gives a glimpse into the belly of an olden-day brewhouse. And of course the unique feature is the ‘floating’ beer taps which descent from the ceiling and hover over the counter.
Moving on, we have Executive Chef ArChan Chan’s creative dishes that deeply integrated the beer brewing elements into the food. I am thankful for this dining experience during my recent dinner tasting session.
We started with the complimentary bread where the Sourdough bread is made with beer malt and served with yeast beer butter.
Beer Tasting Paddle
Beer Tasting Paddle is available 5 x 0.1L tasters of LeVeL 33 craft brews. The craft brews include blond lager, India pale ale, stout, house porter and wheat beer. This is just nice for those who would like to have a taste of everything.
Freshly Shucked Oysters S$6.00++ each
The freshly shucked oysters here are from Irish, Canadian, Fresh and Locals.So, do check with the staff for the day’s offer. And there is happy hour promotion from 4:00PM-6:00PM and 10:00PM onwards.
Hiramasa Kingfish, Lager-cured, Salmon Roe and Scud Chilli S$22.00++ each
Nicely cured in homemade soy kombu and LeVeL 33’s housemade lager for at least 6 hours of sliced kingfish. And the salmon roe marinated in lager and soy along with sweet ginger dressing as our appetizer. Zesty flavour with tint of fiery to kick starts our dinner.
Asparagus S$10.00++
Asparagus served with creamy burrata, kombu and malt oil as side dish before the mains.
Octopus, Fennel Escabeche, Saffron Aioli S$23.00++
Sous vide and grilled octopus with sweet and sour marination along with bits of garlicky and faint honey-vanilla sweetness in it. I enjoyed the chewiness in texture.
And you can add on S$8.00++ for Spent Grain Mantou (8pcs) as a side for grilled dish to enjoy. Mind you.. This is not your regular mantou and it is quite addictive!
Local Barramundi S$33.00++
Pan seared barramundi served with beer malt risotto and topped with slices of daikon.
Brewery Veggie Burger S$22.00++
Moving on, we have this homemade patty with mushroom, corns, sweet potatoes, spent grain and espletette pepper. One of the vegetarian option here in LeVeL 33.
Spent Grain Linguine, Seaweed Butter, Parmesan, Truffle S$28.00++
Another vegetarian options are available in the menu. You can check out this homemade linguine with dried spent grain mixed in along with wakame, nori, butter, onion, garlic and parmesan. It is a creamy and filling dish indeed.
Spent Grain Chocolate Tart, Stout Ganache, Strawberry Jam S$15.00++
Be sure you indulge this rich chocolate tart if you are a fan of chocolate. Definitely worth your calories with the rich, moist chocolate and stout ganache with the sweetness from strawberry jam.
Feeling good to be back here again and this time round is to savour the gourmet experience. If you are looking for a restaurant with a view and dining experience, you can check out LeVeL 33.
