[SG EATS] Ichiban Boshi’s New Festive Menu Incorporates Quorn’s Meat From S$25.90 onwards
Ichiban Boshi is one of the contemporary Japanese restaurants under RE&S. The Japanese restaurant offers a wide selection of sushi, fresh sashimi and combination set meals. The outlets are located mostly in town areas as compared to the other outlet, Ichiban Sushi (located in neighbourhood areas).
In conjunction with this festive season, Ichiban Boshi launches 4 limited-time special sets. The 7-course sets are inspired by carefully planned Japanese meals. Each set is served with 6 other courses, which include a homemade miso soup, chawanmushi, Kanten jelly with mixed fruits to end the meal. Also, each meal comes with one course that incorporates Quorn’s meat free delights for a guilt-free treat.
Spicy Chicken Sugiita-yaki Gozen S$27.90++
Featuring the juicy chicken steak marinated with spicy sauce and grilled on a cedar wood sheet for a smoky fragrance. It is accompanied with a mini rice bowl topped with salmon flakes and salmon roe, expertly seared scallops and salmon sashimi drenched in truffle oil and avocado slices. There is also crispy, deep-fried wantons filled with Quorn meat-free ball. Although it mentioned spicy set, it is a mildly spicy dish, which suits for everyone.
Rosemary Nitzuke Maguro Steak Gozen S$25.90++
Thick tuna steak and vegetables with rosemary sauce and sprinkled with popping candy. It comes with pork skewers with long beans and quail eggs and fresh bowl of salad. There is also a stir-fried noodles with Quorn meat-free balls topped with the egg.
Pirikara Kurobuta Gozen S$26.90++
Black pork slices tossed with Quorn meat-free balls and assorted vegetables in a savoury spicy sauce. The set comes with juicy sweet and sauce prawns, minced pork and Japanese vermicelli wrapped in a delicate rice paper spring roll. The meal is not complete without a mini sushi rice bowl with marinated salmon sashimi and salmon roe. The spring roll has subtle spiciness in it and reminds me of Vietnamese spring roll taste except this one has more sauce flavours in it. This is rather comforting meal on a rainy weather.
Red Wine Beef Gozen S$27.90++
The set comes with premium beef,tender mushrooms and fresh vegetables simmered in a special house red wine sauce. As for the sides, there is a plate of gyoza, fresh green salad and mini sushi rice bowl topped with Quorn meat-free nuggets and avocados. The premium beef cubes tasted tender and juicy and it would be better if the red wine sauce taste can infused into the meat though.
The Ichiban Boshi’s Festive Indulgence menu is available at all outlets from 10 November 2020 to 28 February 2021.
