Claymore Connect is the latest addition mall in Orchard area. The mall was formerly known as the Orchard Hotel Shopping Arcade. It was renovated and re-opened with a new outlook. I was here last month to meet my overdue date with a friend. She wanted to try Mon Bijou café which is located in the mall.
We were there on one of the weekdays after work and the mall was extremely quiet. Mon Bijou is located at Level 1 and it caught our attention the moment we stepped into the mall. The café has different table settings for customers to choose. There are marble-topped tables with wood chairs, high tables and chairs and also comfy armchairs.

Although Mon Bijou is known with its cakes, pastries and cupcakes, we were there for dinner. So, I only tried their savoury dishes that night. Orders and payment are made at the cashier counter. The staff will provide a device to notify once the foods are ready. Our serving time was within 15 minutes and here are the foods that we ordered:

I decided to try their all-day breakfast dish. The crab cake Benedict serves two poached eggs with hollandaise sauce, sautéed spinach, homemade hash brown and B&W toast. The poached eggs were nicely done and I love the oozing egg yolk that flows out the moment I poked it.

Spaghetti Carbonara S$16.00

Spaghetti served with crispy bacon white wine, cream and parmesan cheese. The spaghetti was al-dente with thick creamy based. I enjoyed the firmness bite and evenly coated taste.

Drinks

We ordered the freshly squeeze juices. Feu de Circulation S$7.80 (Red apple, fresh orange and green apple) and Red Apple Fantasy S$7.80 (Red apple and fresh strawberry puree).

Our total bill for 2 pax was S$51.60 inclusive of 7% GST. I would suggest this place for chilling and relaxing café if you are around Orchard area. There are quite a selection of savouries and sweet treats to pick from. I might visit again to try their desserts if I am in town.
