Bangkok is popular known as shopping and foods paradise and my last trip was 4 years ago with my family. So, this time I am travelling with my high school friends and will blog about my travel post soon. Meanwhile, here’s the Tom Yum UFO that is trending in Bangkok now. We decided to give it a try while we were in Bangkok. Tom Yum UFO from SanSab Restaurant has few branches and we visited the outlet at Siam Paragon during the trip.

San Sab in Siam Paragon has a big space at level 4.The restaurant is bright for photography and cater for large group seating as well. Other than their Tom Yum UFO, there are also other Thai delicacies in the menu but we decided to save stomach space for Somboon later.

The UFO is available in three types; Meat THB470 , Seafood THB570 and Premium Seafood THB799. The difference is only the ingredients served. We had the Seafood THB570++. It comes with the Tom Yum Soup, Mama Instant Noodles, Mushrooms, Fish Ball, Prawns, Squids and Crab meats. Along the side of the pan, we have the seaweed soup, quail eggs, mozzarella cheese and corns. It’s just like steamboat concept but the way of presentation is instagram-worthy.

The tom yum flavour was not overpowering and we enjoyed it with the melted cheese. The most attractive part of this dish is the melted cheese that people went gaga over it. And the cheese can reduce the spiciness of the tom yum flavour when you mix them together. I realize the table next to us just mix the cheese into the tom yum soup to eat together. As for us, we just leave it as it is and dip the ingredients with the melted cheese. So, it is all depends on how you enjoy this dish. If you are a soupy person, the soup might not be enough for you as the pan is flat and cannot fill much of the tom yum soup. If only we can have refill for the soup, it would be best.


Total bill was THB766 inclusive of mineral water, service charge and GST.
