[SG EATS] AFFORDABLE & VALUABLE BARASHI-TEI | JAPANESE RESTAURANT

Barashi-Tei located at Middle Road is a few weeks old Japanese Restaurant in town. The founder and chef, Mr Wang Zhen Feng picked up his culinary skills from a 60 years old Japanese Master Chef who has more than 40 years of experience. The restaurant is just conveniently located next to Le Café Confectionary & Pastry, the famous soya tarts. We were told that their ingredients are freshly imported from Japan to bring out the essence of Japanese food.

The restaurant is decorated with Japanese-style concept. There are sushi counter and also dining areas cater for small and big groups. The staffs are available at their work station preparing to attend customers’ needs.

So, I was there one of the weekdays with fellow foodies to check out the foods here. We tried their maki , yakimono, kushi yaki and don which are all available in the menu.

In summary, Barashi-Tei offers an affordable pricing with good quality of Japanese foods. Having said that, the ingredients used are imported from Japan weekly. With the price offered, I can foresee myself going back to try other dishes. They also have set lunch priced from S$8.00 to S$10.00 which is superb affordable especially in town.
