The Descendants of the Sun drama was quite a hit for the Korean craze. As I stepped into Seoul Jjimdak located at level 5 of City Square Mall, I saw the Soo Joong Ki posing for a beer poster. Oppa so charming! I was there few days back with blogger friends for a tasting session. Seoul Jjimdak is a three months old Korean restaurant specializing Korean stew braised in soya sauce.




 Good news for you! In light with Singapore 51st birthday celebration, Seoul Jjimdak is having promotion- 51% off Jjimdak and Budae Jjigae (Korean Army Stew) for lunch time (11.30am-3.00pm) from now till 31st August 2016. So, after promotion, you can get them at ONLY S$16.60++ (U.P. S$33.90++).

Let’s see what we had that day and the portion of the serving!

Seoul Jjimdak S$39.90++

This portion is big enough to serve 2-3 persons at one time. The serving includes chicken, potatoes, carrots, onions, potato noodles and vegetables. It is then braised with soya sauce that is imported from Korea. The staff will assist to ensure that the jjimdak is well-cooked. The chicken meat was tender and flavoured with soya sauce. It is best to enjoy it with a bowl of rice and rainy days. The chicken comes with two options- boneless or bone option. And of course add on toppings are available at the stated price on the menu. Mini Jjimdak S$12.90++-The mini version of the Seoul Jjimdak is available for one pax serving.

Budae Jjigae S$39.90++
 Korean army stew that comes with a serving of 2-3 pax. This army stew is served with luncheon meat, sausages,baked beans, pork belly strips, tofu and mixed vegetables. There are also options to add on such as Ramyeon S$2.90++. We loved to have it with Ramyeon and with cheese on top. Yummy!

Seafood Pancake S$14.90++
 They also serve seafood pancake which comes with prawns, squids and green onions.

Spicy Cheese Tteokbokki S$11.90++
 One of the traditional Korean food with improvised version with cheese in it. The melted cheese was indeed the highlight.
 So, for those who are working nearby City Square Mall or Farrer Park station, you are in treat. A good deal lunch for you and your colleagues/ friends!
