Palace of Love & Hope is located on Bang Kra Beach between Cha-am and Hua Hin. Maruekhathaiyawan Palace is approximately 15km north from Hua Hin Town. The palace is one of the most beautiful royal palaces in Thailand. Thus, we decided to check out the place which is situated within Rama VI military camp. There is an admission fee of 30 baht required and additional fee is required if you want to visit 1st floor. We did not visit 1st floor because it was still under renovation. Furthermore, no photography is allowed too.

This reminds me of the Secret garden

Before we enter the palace, there are certain rules need to comply. First, the attire and also visitors are advice to remain as silent as possible while walking around the place. Everyone needs to wear sleeveless and the dress or shorts must be below the knee cap. Failure to fulfil such requirement will need to rent a sarong outside the counter.

Entrance of the Palace

History of the place: It was constructed in the year 1923 under His Majesty King Vajiravudh, or King Rama VI. The beachside two-storeys palace is built with teakwood from the King’s demolished residence at Chao Samran Beach. As for architecture design, it is designed by King Rama VI and Italian architect, Ercole Manfredi who did the finishing touches. Also. The uniqueness of this place is that the Palace of Love & Hope is of raised-floor style with 16 golden teak buildings and 3 pavilions all facing the sea view. It was remarkably stunning view of the beach.

There is a walkways path so long that leads towards the sea. It was being blocked by some plants from preventing people to go to the beach now.

My view while siting at the bench enjoying the breeze

I sat down at the bench facing the sea and took a rest to feel the sea breeze. It was a chilling moment. My friends and I also took sometime to walk leisurely around the palace before heading off to the next stop, Plearnwan market. There are quite a few spots for scenery and #ootd shots as well.
