[SG EATS] D’GOOD CAFÉ- LONDON INSPIRED CAFÉ SPOTTED AT TAKASHIMAYA

D’Good Café – the London-inspired café spotted at Takashimaya Orchard recently. So, my sister and cousin decided to have our cousin gathering at the café few weeks ago. If you think the café name sounds familiar, yeah you are right. The café is well-known in Holland Village. So, now you can travel to Orchard instead with bigger space for their food and drinks.We were there at 7pm on weekday and it was full house. The café is short of manpower during the peak hour and it took quite sometime to get the staff attention. I made a reservation earlier on and were arranged to sit at the garden-looking exterior and swing chairs. It is also because I requested for better lighting for food photography.

So, what did we have for dinner?

Fresh Norwegian Salmon S$16.00++

Pan-fried salmon with crispy salmon skin serve with peas, brussel sprouts, mushrooms and herb oil.

Pan Roasted Chicken Breast S$16.00++

They use chicken breast which sounds healthier and charred white onion, root vegetables and chicken jus. Surprisingly the chicken breast texture is soft and tender which goes pretty well with the jus.

Crabby Claw S$16.00++
Spaghetti served with crab claw meat, shallots, chilli padi, chives and shellfish oil. Nothing much to rave about and the portion served is decent.

Grand Marnier Sweet Potato Matcha S$12.00++
D’Good included Deutsch Skillet Pancakes (Dutch Baby pancakes) and we ordered Grand Marnier Sweet Potato Matcha which looked like an omelette. The pancake serves with purple sweet potato, crushed pistachios and azuki beans with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Although it stated that there is matcha sauce in it, I can’t really taste it though. The pancake was eggy and dense in flavour. We enjoyed the whole combination.

Straight Cut French Fries S$8.00++
We also order bites because my cousin not full with the portion.
Out total bill S$80.05 inclusive of 10% service charge and 7% GST. We did not order drinks as complimentary water is provided.Payment is to be made at the counter. Perhaps I will be back to check their coffee but not so soon. They should look into manpower issue because the staffs are running here and there. Diners like us need to look around and hard time to get attention from the staff.
