Sugar On Top (SOT) has another new theme café called The Hare at Taman Mount Austin. They have been aggressively expanding their outlet around Johor Bahru. How many SOT have you been up to date? I started to notice them when their matcha lava cake was highly raved by Johoreans. So, here I am visiting this outlet last weekend with my cousins and friends after Slide the City.

 We were there around 2plus afternoon and the whole place is packed with people. They even have to reject some customers because there were no seats available.

Lucky for us, we managed to secure table for 6 of us. We placed our order and waited for the foods to be served. I was actually quite disappointed as the waiting time was approximately 40 minutes. I even have difficulties to get attention from the staff to check on the order. I think they need to work on the manpower over the weekend. My friend went on other days and she shared that the serving time was quite fast though. Perhaps my bad luck!
 SOT offers coffee and teas and there is Cold Brew section. I decided to check out their Roasted Matcha with House Blend RM14.90 ~ S$4.99 . The milky taste was overwhelming and personally not a fan of it. I still think cold brew coffee works better.
 Two of my cousins ordered Signature SOT Chilli Crab Pasta RM21.90 ~ S$7.32 for their late lunch. True enough the portion is generous and the idea of placing egg yolk in the middle of the pasta was indeed appealing.
 Then we also ordered their signature Hokkaido Matcha Cake RM16.90~S$5.63 for sweet treats. Indeed the lava cake flows beautifully and thick matcha flavours in it.
 If you were to ask me which SOT café theme is my favourite, I would prefer this outlet than Pelangi or Taman Sutera. The Hare by SOT theme is dreamy with white walls and sunflowers decorations outside the café. It has the garden feel. Having said that, I hope the serving time can be improved for a better dining experience.
