[BANGKOK EATS] FLOW MILLENNIUM HILTON BANGKOK- BUFFET WITH CHAOPRAYA RIVERVIEW
During my recent trip to Bangkok, I get the chance to check out Flow, an all-day dining restaurant in Millennium Hilton Bangkok.Flow restaurant is also the first ever restaurant in the city introduces Cheese Room that featuring 75 kinds of international cheeses in buffet style. The restaurant is just a boat ride away from Saphan Taksin BTS Skytrain Station. Millennium Hilton Bangkok provides shuttle boat services in certain periods daily.
Here is the boat schedule from Saphan Taksin BTS Skytrain Station:
SEAFOOD SECTION
Fresh seafood include oysters and shrimps are nicely plated at the counter.
CARVERY SECTION
Meat lovers will definitely love this section. There are lamb, steak, cold cuts and foie gras served here. I am in love with their pan-seared foie gras.
INDIAN CUISINES SECTION
I am quite surprised to see Indian cuisines here. There are naan breads, crispy poppadoms along with the tandoori chicken tikka, homemade chutneys and other Indian spices dishes.
THE CHEESE ROOM
The cheese room offers international cheeses along with exquisite dried fruits, home made jams and freshly baked breads. The cheese room temperature is closely monitored to ensure all the cheeses are well taken care. It was my first time experiencing so many kinds of imported cheese from Italy, France, England and many more. Each cheese is labelled with their fats percentage. Interesting!
JAPANESE CUISINE SECTION
A must-have Japanese cuisine counter in buffets. There are sushi, fresh sashimi and tempura.
THAI CUISINE SECTION
There is quite a choice for Thai foods here. The dishes are served in bite-size especially their Thai-style salad are pretty hot and appetizing. There are noodles counter for customers to pick and choose before the chef cook on the spot.
DESSERTS SECTION
There is always room for dessert. There is section where the pastry chef made the ice-cream cone on the spot, beautiful cakes, tarts and local desserts displayed at the counter. Fresh fruits are available at this section.
I would say the dinner buffet here is quite impression with the ranges of the cuisines served. The dishes are quite innovative and the chef did a good job with the fusion twist in the elements of the dishes. What makes the whole dining experience even better is the splendid view of the River Chaopraya. No wonder foreigners and tourists enjoyed dining here. It is rather slow in pace while enjoying the night view with a couple of drinks. The best part is the cheese from the cheese room.
If you prefer a place to chill with a cup of cocktail, you can go up to Three Sixty Roof Top to have 360 panoramic view.
