With the new addition of Tanjong Pagar Centre, more F&B options are available. Hattendo, Kuro Maguro and SBCD Korean Tofu House are one of those new F&B dining option in the centre. SBCD Korean Tofu House specializes in Korean soft tofu soup that comes with different ingredients options. The Korean restaurant prepares tofu daily to ensure the freshness.


SBCD Korean Tofu House has an ample space to cater lunch crowd and also big groups. They even have private rooms for any events or occasions.

As usual, korean restaurant offers banchan (side dishes) that includes kimchi, seaweed, pickled green chillies, whole fried croaker fish and more for every meal.

The broth in SBCD Korean Tofu House comes with four levels of spiciness (Mild, Medium, Spicy and Crazy hot). There will be an order chit that comes with the dishes available and also the option to choose the level of spiciness for the broth.



We tried Assorted Soontofu S$19.90 that comes with beef, clams, squid and shrimp. Since I am not a spicy lover, I took the mild level. The set comes with hotstone rice. The staff will scoop out the rice from the stone pot and pour the hot water over the hotstone before covering it with a wooden lid. We were told that this is to enjoy at the last stage for a nutritious experience. It is like having porridge.

The signature with other ingredients include Original Beef or Pork S$18.90, Seafood S$19.90, Oyster S$26.90, Abalone S$29.90, Intestines S$19.90, Ham & Cheese S$19.90, Vegetables S$17.90 and Sesame S$17.90.

Other than their signature soontofu (sundubu, soondubu), there are other ala-carte dishes to check out.

Spicy Grilled Chicken S$25.90
I thought it would be very spicy but it turned out not that spicy afterall. The grilled chicken has the smoky flavour and the sauce enhanced the flavour of this dish.

Prawn Tofu Pancake S$19.90

If you are craving for hot and comfy soup especially on rainy days, you may consider visiting this place. This casual korean dining concept is just located next to Tanjong Pagar MRT station.

Note: Although the name of the restaurant sounds similar to popular BCD Tofu House (Book Chang Dong) from Los Angeles, they are not related.
