I visited Yonpachi Gyojo at UE Square with friends for dinner recently. Yonpachi Gyojo has taken the space of Zen Japanese Restaurant few months ago.This Japanese restaurant serves sustainable seafood varieties from 48 fishing ports around Japan. So, we decided to check it out and made a reservation through chope.

It was dinner session and we decided to check out their Yonpachi Mori (Assorted Sashimi) S$48.00++. The assorted sashimi is their fisher’s artistry as they try to maintain the fish as fresh as possible. There are more than 5 types of sashimi served including the usual salmon and maguro, botan ebi and scallop. The sashimi is fresh and in good quality.

Kaisen-roll with Salmon Roe S$17.80
One of us wanted to try their sushi so we ordered kaisen-roll with salmon roe. Although the price is rather high, the futomaki role using soysauce dipped tuna is indeed filling and tasty.

Fisherman’s Shell Hotpot S$45.00
Shellfish broth filled with different types of shells including clams and mussels. I enjoyed the flavourful broth with the seafood taste in it.

Total Bill was S$139.20 inclusive of S$7.50 for 3 cups of Japanese Green Tea,10% service charge and 7% GST. The service and food here are generally good. We had a good time dining in and the service staffs are attentive and friendly. They will ensure the orders are in order and refill our tea from time to time. I would suggest visiting here for celebration or gathering in group so that you can try more items from the menu. And of course share the cost of the meal.
