[SG EATS] GRAND MANDARINA (御华庭) CHINESE RESTAURANT | NEW BRIDGE ROAD

Grand Mandarina situated at New Bridge Road is easily accessible via MRT train. It is few minutes walk away from Outram Park MRT Station. The posh Chinese restaurant offers fine Chinese cuisine specially crafted by their experience chef. Their signature prized Empurau Fish (忘不了鱼) which is priced at the luxury S$888.00 per kg is available on sale too.

I was invited for a media tasting recently to check out their March promotion. Here are the dishes that we tried.

We were served tasting portion of 3 different kinds of dim sum- Steamed Pumpkin filled with red bean paste S$5.00 (3pcs) , Steamed Crystal Dumpling with Assorted Capsicum, Minced Pork and XO Chilli Sauce S$6.00 (3pcs) and Steamed Mushroom Bun filled with Wild Mushrooms S$6.00 (3pcs). My favourite is the steamed dumpling filled with the flavourful minced pork in it.

Cod fish lover would love this dish. This is nicely baked cod that you wouldn’t want to miss it.

I couldn’t take my eyes off the dish especially the purple flower that gives a vibrant colour of the palate.This is a chef special and it is advisable to order in advance.

King Prawn Vermicelli served in Coconut Shell – S$28.00 (per person)

Umami flavour broth which is slow-cooked with prawn. There is a sweetness taste in the broth and the coconut flesh absorbs the goodness , which I would suggest you to dig it and try towards the end. This is also chef special and it is advisable to order in advance.
