[JB EATS] HOMIBING- ANOTHER KOREAN DESSERT CAFÉ IN JOHOR BAHRU (RELOCATED)

*Updated July 2018*
Another Korean Dessert Café opened in Johor Bahru in February 2017 and this time is located in Permas Jaya. Homibing Korean Dessert Café is the latest addition café in Johor Bahru. It is located along the new shop houses along Jalan Permas 1/15. It is approximately 30 minutes drive from the town. The whole building looks grand and has the classic exterior look. The interior is nicely decorated and perfect for #ootd shots.  The menu is displayed above the cashier counter upon entering the café. Customers will have to order and pay at the counter. Once everything is done, you will be given a pager to place on the table. The pager allows the staff to identify the seating area so that they can serve at the right table.

The pager placed on the table.

We ordered instagram-worthy Melon Homibing RM38.90 ~S$12.47 and two croissants- Mango Croissant RM22.00 ~S$7.05 and Nutella Croissant RM23.00 ~S$7.37.

Melon Homibing
The dessert is big enough to share with 3-4 people. The ice flakes are made up from fruits and for our melon bingsu, it is mango flavoured ice flakes. The round-shaped melon fruits are sweet and we enjoyed the taste of the dessert.

Mango Croissant
First time trying this and if you are a mango lover, you will enjoy the taste. The cream is spread over the croissant and stuffed with mango cubes. We find that the cream is overwhelming though.

Nutella Croissant
We enjoyed this because the cream is lesser and more nutella spread instead. The croissant also stuffed with marshmallows. We finished it within seconds.

Total bill is RM83.90 nett. There is no service charge and GST applicable. The price is slightly in the steep side for Johorians I would say. But the portion is quite generous I would say. If you are a fan of fruits flavoured ice flakes, you can give this place a try. For those prefer traditional Korean bingsu type, head over to Cheotnun Korean Dessert Café.
