[SG EATS] MONTI FESTINO @ THE FULLERTON PAVILLION- Sunday Brunch With A View
Weekend brunch is always a good idea, don’t you think so? Sunday brunch sounds even better. Monti Festino launches new Sunday brunch concept recently. I was invited over for a brunch session 2 weeks ago. The glass dome floating on Marina Bay was previously occupied by Spanish restaurant Catalunya. It is now by Monti with a new concept to dine and party the night away.
This Italian restaurant with a picturesque view of the city is indeed an ideal brunch place for a slow-paced Sunday with family, loved ones or friends.
Monti Festino brunch has over 40 selections in its menu. The salad and dessert stations are set up in the dining area where diners pick and choose from the spot. The rest of the dishes are made to order.
Here are some of the dishes available in the brunch menu that I tried that day:
Cold Seafood from the Kitchen
We had fresh Oysters, Tuna Tataki (Seared Tuna with Sesame and Yuzu) and Tiger Prawns on ice.
Slow Cooked Salmon Fillet
One of the must-order dish is the salmon fillet served with horseradish and dill sauce. The chef did a good job on preparing the slow cooked salmon fillet. The moist salmon fillet that looks almost raw yields melt-in-your mouth tender texture.
Pan Cooked Foie Gras
Pan cooked foie gras on toast and balsamic reduction. One of the commonly used application for this creamy, fatty liver.
Ribeye Steak
My favourite ribeye steak served with anchovy butter and red wine jus. Absolutely juicy, tender and succulent meat texture!
Pasta
Diners can DIY your pasta by choosing the choice of pasta, sauce and ingredients listed on the menu. Here is our pick recommended by the service staff.
Risotto with Tableside Service

This is one of the highlight for the brunch. The cheese wheel risotto is prepared on the spot by the staff and black truffle to add a nice finishing touch. The risotto was perfectly cooked with generous cheese portion. I guess most of the diners are generally enjoying warm and delicious dish.
Eggs are on the menu as well but I am full after my mains. They serve Eggs Benedicts, Omelette and more on the menu.
And of course drinks include cocktails, and non-alcoholic concoctions are available in different brunch pricing. The Make Your Own (MYO) Bloody Mary which is also a signature drink in Monti is available free flow.
Lastly, desserts are available at the dessert corner. The petite bite-size desserts are prepared by Chef Jasmin Chew. I still remember the amazing dessert made by her during my last visit to Stellar 1-Altitude.
This is how to indulge on one of the Sunday with amazing view and hearty brunch. Monti Festino is dubbed the longest brunch with extravagant affair that delights your Sunday. The Italian-style ala-carte buffet is followed by a rooftop day-party atmosphere courtesy of guest DJs playing house tunes until 7:00pm. The Jazz At Monti crew then take over with their weekly J@M sessions of live jazz performances by various artists joining the regular line up. Commencing at 9pm, they’ll take the festivities until midnight.
