[SG EATS] Wrap & Roll – First Vietnamese Skewer Buffet in Singapore
Wrap & Roll is an international restaurant chain that serves classic Vietnamese cuisine. The brand itself is founded in Ho Chi Minh in 2006 has expanded the business in Vietnam and Australia as well. My last visit to the outlet was year 2015 and you can read more about it here.
My recent visit to Wrap & Roll at Ion Orchard is to check out the Vietnamese Skewer Buffet offering from S$22.90++ onwards. This is apparently the first Vietnamese skewer buffet in Singapore and my first time too.
Let’s move on to the buffet. The buffet is only available at Ion Orchard and Changi City Point outlets. The buffet is by ala-carte where dinners order from the buffet list and the kitchen will start preparing upon receiving the order.
There are over 30 items of specially marinated grilled meat, starters, vegetables and bites in the buffet list. And every grilled skewer has its own unique individual marinate. We looked through the buffet list menu and ordered few to try.
The buffet comes in 4 sections- Starters, Deep fried & bites, Meat & Seafood and Vegetables and more.
Our favourite grilled items include Hanoi pork skewer, sugarcane prawn, beef wrapped with cheese and onion and shiitake mushrooms. Other items include lemongrass chicken, pork collar, tiger prawn, Hanoi turmeric fish and many more are available in the buffet. The buffet also comes with fresh vegetables for wrapping the meat to balance the meal. 4 specialty Wrap & Roll sauces for dipping are served by pax as well.

There are hit and misses for the starters and deep fried and bites items. We didn’t tried all though. We tried the butter corn with pork floss, brinjal with spring onion, pickled carrot and spicy cucumber cubes. Not a fan of these starters though. Deep fried items that we ordered include stir fried noodles and egg fried rice taste a bit bland. The cinnamon fries sounds interesting but I think I skip this and order spam fries instead.

To complete your buffet meal, you can add on S$2.90++ for free flow drinks that come with 3 choices- Lime juice with basil seed, Jasmine tea and Coke. Alternatively, add on S$5.00++ per bottle for the beer.
If you are Vietnamese cuisine lover, you can give this a try. The grilled items are quite flavourful in general and it goes well with the dipping sauces. If I were to visit again, I will stick to grill meat & seafood and vegetables & more to complete my buffet meal.
