For this Chinese New Year 2018, Ellenborough Market Café is launching Prosperity Buffet from 5 February to 2 March.The restaurant is known for it’s Peranakan buffet including Kueh Pie Tie, Ayam Buah Keluak, Peranakan kuehs and also my favourite Durian Pengat expanded their menu with new add ons for this festive season.
Here are highlights on what to expect for the Prosperity Buffet:
Yu Sheng
A must-have yu sheng to toss for good health and wellness will be served per table. Add on S$28.00++ to get additional serving of sliced abalones.
Double-boiled Fish Maw with Dried Scallop & Cordycep Flower
Clear and robust flavour of double-boiled soup I would say. My sister enjoyed the goodness of the soup.
Imperial Herbal Chicken
Nourish your body with the imperial herbal chicken. The herbal taste is infused in the chicken while it cooks. It is definitely a comforting dish that reminds me of home-cooked meal.
Hong Kong Style Fried Garoupa
Feast with the tender and tasty steamed garoupa fish.
Wok-fried Asparagus with Pearl Scallop in XO Sauce
The asparagus and scallop coated in XO sauce is simply taste good and satisfying.
Braised Abalone and Sea Cucumber with Australian Broccoli
The braising sauce absorbs well into the abalone and sea cucumber. If you are a sea cucumber lover, try this!
Fried Glutinous Rice Wrapped in Lotus Leaf
If you are still feeling hungry after all the dishes on the stations, have a bowl of glutinous rice then.
Apart from these, the dessert stations also served delectable Chinese New Year cookies including Pineapple Tarts, Love Letters, Kueh Bangkit, Kueh Bahulu and Mandarin Orange Pound Cake.
