[SG EATS] Celebrate Chinese New Year with Lotus Vegetarian CNY Specials

Here is another choice of vegetarian CNY specials at Lotus Kitchen. Lotus Kitchen has a vegetarian concept named Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant. The restaurant is a leading Chinese vegetarian restaurant from Taiwan and offers not only ala-carte menu but also Asian buffet as well.

I was invited for their CNY special tasting at Quality Hotel Marlow. It was my first time visiting the restaurant. And they also serve Prosperity Yu Sheng which I do not have the photo taken on that day.

Anyway, here are some of the highlight CNY dishes that we tried during the session:
Double boiled “Tian Ma” Soup
Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant
The double boiled soup uses ingredients like dang gui, fresh shitake mushroom, cashew nuts, tian ma, pearl mushroom, cordyseps and more. The double-boilng retain its essence and taste of the ingredients. It also benefits the nutrient value and also offering benefits to the drinker.

Homemade Veg Fish with Fruit Salad

This healthy creation is served with a homemade sweet and sour sauce for an added zest to the dish.

Pumpkin Balls with Lily Flowers & Greens

Homemade fresh pumpkin balls filled with mixed mushrooms, and paired with healthy black fungus.

Golden Bowl of Fortune Pen Cai S$148.00 for 8 pax
Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant Pen Cai
This is my first time trying out the vegetarian version of Pen Cai. It comes with over 22 wholesome ingredients including premium vegetarian abalone, sugarcane shoots, bamboo pith, barley, wolfberries and many more. And the Pen Cai is available for dine-in, take-away or delivery (at least 1 day in advance) at both Chinatown Point and Lotus Vegetarian Quality Hotel.

Silky smooth mian xian specially imported from Taiwan with premium top-grade black sesame oil vegetarian chicken and sauce. And it goes very well with the herbal soup that has a mixture of Chinese herbs and health-promoting ginger. Everyone seems to love this dish the most.

Tea Jelly With Fungus & Coconut

We ended our meal with refreshing tea jelly with fungus and coconut for our dessert.

Now you can have more choices for a vegetarian feast for Chinese New Year apart from Elemen. It is amazing to see how they break the stereotypes of bland tasteless vegetarian food to such an amazing variety of delicious and healthy creations. I rarely have vegetarian foods but one of the vegetarian foodie who joined us that day shared that this is one of his favourite vegetarian restaurant in Singapore. He loves the buffet spread at Quality Hotel. So, maybe you guys can give this place a try?
