[SG EATS] 8 Hands Dinner At Bochinche Cocina Argentina

When Ivy was in town 2 weeks ago, I brought her along for the 8 Hands Dinner at Bochinche Cocina Argentina. 8 Hands Dinner only happened for one night, which was on 5 March 2018. We were lucky enough to enjoy the scrumptious dinner whipped by 4 outstanding chefs (Chef Diego Jacquet – Patron Chef of Bochinche , Chef Lino Sauro- chef owner of Gattopardo Ristorante Di Mare and Chef Jorge Valderama and Chef Tamara Chavez of Tono Cevicheria).

So the chefs teamed up to create 5-course dinner priced at S$120.00++ per pax with an option of wine pairing prices at S$60.00++.
Here go the dishes served on that night:
Snacks by Chefs from Tono Cevicheria
Bochinche 8 Hands Dinner-1
We started off with line caught snapper, yellow tiger’s milks and patacones. The dish gives a refreshing and citrusy taste along with the toasted crunchy banana crisp.

Bochinche 8 Hands Dinner-2
Next, we have the grilled octopus and lima bean, olive’s chimichurri cum pork belly, boniata (sweet potatoes with white flesh), avocado and criolla. A nice bite-sized portion served with savoury elements in it.

Bochinche 8 Hands Dinner-3
Tender grilled ox tongue with artichokes, mustard, apple & bagna cauda by Chef Diego Jacquet
One of the best grilled ox tongue I ever tasted. Same goes to Ivy. She went ‘wow’ with the texture and you can’t differentiate whether it’s beef or ox tongue. Chef did a wonderful job with the texture especially seasoned with thyme. The bagna cauda was delish and it goes very well with the ox tongue.

Bochinche 8 Hands Dinner-4
Red prawns ravioli served with winter black truffle and burrata by Chef Lino Sauro.Al-dente pasta with fresh red prawn wrapped within revels the dense of the freshness of the ingredients. Along with the winter black truffle and burrate that makes the whole dish tasted delish.

Bochinche 8 Hands Dinner-5
48 hours braised short rib with promegranate, wild garlic and oat’s was amazingly delicious. We brim over the luxuriant taste of the melted in the mouth braised short rib. I definitely recommend this for main course.

Bochinche 8 Hands Dinner-7
Not the traditional Sicilian Cannolo by Chef Lino Sauro
This Italian pastries is a staple cuisine of Sicilian cuisine but Chef Lino has improvised the shell with ultimate thin and crispy thickness. It reminds me of our Chinese love letters’ texture.

Overall the dinner was amazingly good.Even my Taiwanese friend was amazed with it. It is definitely a delightful experience with joined team chefs for this event. Watch out Bochinche official website to catch the next event.
