[SG EATS] Teppan No Hoshi At Ramen Champion Bugis+
Ramen Champion Bugis + has another new addition outlet, Teppan No Hoshi. The brand offers a variety of Osaka classics such as okonomiyaki, modern yaki and yakisoba. Now you can enjoy okonomiyaki while having your ramen there.
Teppan No Hoshi features an open-kitchen concept where customers can see how their food is freshly prepared. With that, I took the opportunity to take snapshots while the chef is in action.
Here are the dishes that were introduced during the tasting session.
Modern Yaki
Their modern yaki version is served with noodles and topped with okonomiyaki sauce.
Mentaiko Tonpei Yaki
Tonpei Yaki is an Osaka classic dish where it is like a rolled up egg pancake with pork and okonomiyaki sauce. The version here comes with mentaiko on top of the omelette egg.
Okonomiyaki
Teppan No Hoshi uses sliced cabbage instead of chopped cabbage for a crunchier texture and mix with batter for fluffy and light texture.And yes indeed the taste is lighter in flavour. I would still prefer the one that I tried during my trip to Japan. The taste is more flavourful.
Yakisoba
Yakisoba here is topped with ingredients like pork, beef, seafood or omelette. It is accompanied with special flavour. Customers can opt according to your preference.
Teppan No Hoshi side dishes are priced from S$9.80 onwards and okonomiyaki from S$12.80 onwards. They also offer fried rice as well.
To celebrate its opening, they are having 1-for-1 Pork Yakisoba on 23 September 2018.
