[SG EATS] Violet Onn – Peranakan Vegetarian Friendly Restaurant Opens in Jewel Changi Airport – Jewel Exclusive Dishes Too!
Violet Onn Singapore located in Jewel Changi Airport is the 5th Peranakan restaurant under the group. The brand serves up Singapore’s history with its signature recipes of local favourites and Nyonya classics. Apart from the dining space, the outlet also has a retail and confectionary space where diners or customers can shop for beautifully packaged food gifts such as locally inspired jams to cakes.
My second visit to Violet Onn restaurant but this time for an invited tasting at their new outlet in Jewel Changi Airport. You can read my first visit as a paying customer here.
Moving on are the dishes we tried including vegetarian dishes. I think it is good idea to include in the menu as there are limited vegetarian restaurants in Jewel at this moment.

Somehow rather I personally prefer the outlet in National Kitchen by Violet Oon Singapore. Perhaps the dishes here are improvised to please modern palettes and it is not the usual signature dishes I tried before. Nevertheless, the DIY popiah is quite fun and engaging too. And my favourite dishes of the night are the Sayur Paku Gulai, Ayam Panggang and Otak Toast. What attracts me here in the outlet in Jewel is the retail corner with beautifully packaged gifts and also the varieties of local food gifts.
