[SG EATS] Mutunga Wiki Sunday Brunch At WAKANUI Grill Dining Singapore | Marina One
WAKANUI Grill Dining Singapore is a New Zealand steak and lamb restaurant located on Level 4 of the West Tower in Marina One. The restaurant features Ocean Beef and WAKANUI Spring Lamb from the Canterburg region in the South Island of New Zealand. The restaurant originally opened its doors in Tokyo in 2011 by ANZCO Foods Japan.
My first time here and it took me a while to figure out how to get to the restaurant. If you are like me, look for Café Milligram at Level 1. The lift is just opposite and takes the lift up to Level 4 and you will see the restaurant. I was here to try out their Mutunga Wiki Brunch & Bubbly available only for Sundays from 11am to 3pm. “Mutunga Wiki” refers to weekend in Maori in case you are wondering.
The Sunday brunch includes a buffet selection of appetiser, cold seafood selection, sashimi, desserts and cheese with any man course you choose. It is available from S$89.00++ onwards depending on which mains you choose from the list. Here is the menu list for the mains for your reference.
While waiting for the mains to be served, we check out the buffet spread. The cold seafood includes prawns, mussels and oysters. There is also scallop and salmon sashimi.
If you are a cheese lover, try out their cheese platter too!
And of course dessert corner after the mains. The desserts will rotate weekly and this week we have the apple crumble and banana bread.
Be sure you pace yourself as the mains are the highlight of the brunch. Don’t get too full from the buffet selections and end up feeling full even before the mains served.
Next, Wakanui Spring Lamb Chop is served before our mains. It is baby lamp grilled over charcoal and lightly seasoned with salt and pepper. It was tender, juicy and no gamey taste at all! Even my friend who is quite sceptical with lamb went “Wow’ after trying it. She enjoyed it.
Mains
Wakanui Spring Lamb Half Rack S$89.00++
I decided to have one of WAKANUI’s signature dish, Spring Lamb Half Rack. Nicely seasoned and grilled meat served in moist and tender in texture. No gaminess just like the baby lamb served earlier on and I appreciate the flavour and texture of the meat.
Canterbury Grass-Fed Fillet 250gm S$118.00++
My friend ordered Canterbury Grass-Fed Fillet, which is one of the popular cuts in WAKANUI. The grass-fed beef has the naturally delicious flavour and lightly seasoned before grilling it. It has the full fine texture and more of a healthy choice of beef.
You can also top up S$39.00++ for FREE flow wines and champagnes to complete your brunch experience for the weekend.
And for better savings, you can purchase voucher up to 16% off here.
