[IPOH EATS] Yee Fatt Dry Curry Noodles At Jalan Kampar | Ipoh

Yee Fatt Curry Noodles House is established since 1955 in Ipoh, Perak. It has been around for more than 60 over years and known for its dry curry mee and soup curry noodles. Since we are in Ipoh for the weekend, we headed over to try its famed curry. The curry noodle house was founded by a Hainanese man and their curry is made of 20 types of spices with secret blend.Yee Fatt Curry Ipoh-5

We took a grab over from our Airbnb and the shop is along the roadside. So if you are driving, you might need to look for parking lot nearby. It was full house when we arrive around 10plus in the morning and we took quite a while to secure seating place. The locals do practise sharing tables as there are limited seats available in the shop.

So we ordered our orders and waited for approximately 20-30 minutes. We ordered a plate of dry curry noodle. Yellow egg noodles served with curry gravy and chicken meats braised for hours. The rich and creamy curry drenched all over the noodles making every bite tasted flavourful and shiok! Ingredients include char siew (BBQ pork), chicken meat and bean sprouts on this plate of goodness.

We also ordered glutinous rice (Lor Mai Gai) coated with curry gravy. This is our first time trying glutinous rice with curry and it is surprisingly good.

Next, we ordered ‘Dan Cha’ – Chinese Herbal Tea Egg. It seems like one of the must-try dish or dessert in Ipoh. Sweet dessert for the locals.
