Black Cow located at South Beach Avenue Singapore is one of the beef heaven place to go for beef lovers apart from Fat Cow. The restaurant is a modern Japanese Shabu Shabu, Sukiyaki & Sake Bar that introduces Kanto-style Sukyaki. The restaurant has limited seats and I would suggest you to make reservation before heading down. It is just a walk away from Esplanade MRT Station.I heard mixed reviews about both Black Cow and Fat Cow and I am excited to finally visit Black Cow on a weekday lunch. They are currently offering Executive Lunch Set that comes with salad, seasonal marinated vegetables (appetizer), miso soup and dessert. Full menu is available on their website.

Signature Truffle Don S$46.00++

Thinly sliced beef (Joshu A3 Wagyu Beef) in sweet base on rice with onsen egg, topped with shaved truffles. If you do not take beef, you can opt for Kurobuta Black Pork Belly with the same price. Or else aim for their Hida A5 Wagyu Beef Don at S$138.00++. This signature don itself is comparatively lighter in flavour as compared to their best seller Bifuteki Don. Nevertheless, it was a bowl of happiness with the melt-in-the mouth meat paired with the slices of truffles.




Classic Foie Gras Bifuteki Don S$46.00++

Japanese Wagyu beef steak and glazed foie gras on rice with onsen egg which is not instagram-worthy as compared to the signature don was surprisingly enjoyable. We enjoyed the buttery flavours from the foie gras that pairs well with wagyu beef steak. Mixing both ingredients with the Japanese rice and onsen eggs were splendid. We enjoyed the mouth-filling savouriness with rich flavours.Each don comes with the salad, appetizer, miso soup and dessert. The dessert of the day was a scoop of ice-cream that comes with a choice of Yuzu, Matcha or Black Sesame (Goma).
The service was generally okay and the staffs served promptly. It was a pleasant lunch here before we headed back to work. The bill for 2 pax of Executive Lunch Set was S$108.28 (inclusive of 10% service charge +7%GST). We had iced water for our lunch with no additional charge.
