[SG EATS] VUE Restaurant At OUE Bayfront Launches Surf & Turf Weekend Set Lunch
VUE Singapore located at OUE Bayfront on Collyer Quay is Singapore’s premier rooftop dining destination. You can read about my previous post here. The restaurant has reopen with new seasonal menus to offer to their guests. This includes the weekend special Surf & Turf lunch menu that served complete with a choice of lunch cocktail, on the house. Full menu here . The set lunch is priced at S$128.00++ . The Weekend lunch Surf and Turf menu focus on quality seafood and meat options, served complete with a choice of lunch cocktail, on the house. We kick start our lovely Sunday lunch with our choice of cocktail- Mimosa. There are two options to choose from either Mimosa or Bloody Mary.
Moving on are our choices from the lunch menu. I ordered the Norwegian Crab Salad on Toast from the ‘Surf’ list and Signature A5 ‘Kokuou’ Emperor Black Wagyu Brisket from Kumamoto, Japan from the ‘Turf’ list along with 2 choices for the sides. The crab salad is made of succulent Norwegian Red King Crab, creamy avocado, refreshing cucumber, shallots and yuzu mayonnaise. It is a great appetizer, flavourful, and loaded with crab meat.As for the wagyu brisket,it was carefully slow roasted for 24 hours. Tender and moist brisket that is full of flavour and juicy.
My sister had the Lobster Thermidor from the ‘Surf’ and Chipotle Glaze Grilled lowa State ‘Sakura Pork’ Rack from the ‘Turf’ list along with 2 choices for the sides.
The whole Maine lobster baked with mushroom, sharp Cheddar and Gruyere and served with Hollandaise sauce for an additional S$12.00. It was classic French seafood dish with a creamy mixture element in it.Then, she had the pork rack grilled with fennel, roasted garlic and fennel puree. The grilled pork added in the savouries and smoky flavour makes the meat more satisfying.
The two sides available include shoestring fries, marble potatoes, truffle polenta, creamed spinach, grilled cauliflower, grilled green peas or onion tempura. You may also opt for roasted bone marrow for an additional S$10.00.
And of course we had the dessert to complete the meal. Basque-Style Burnt Cheesecake accompanied by fresh berries and a homemade berries jam. It seems like the burnt cheesecake trend is still on-going. We loved this beautiful burnt cheesecake with gooey in the centre. The cheesecake was creamy, smooth and light in taste. We wouldn’t mind for second slice though.
It is good to be back to VUE Singapore and a different dining experience during the day time. The glass walls look out to the beautiful skyline views of Marina Bay definitely adds to the ambiance of the dining pleasure.
Also, head out to the rooftop bar for cocktails to enjoy the view during sunset hour after your lunch. The bar is open from 3:00pm onwards.
VUE Singapore also offers affordable lunch and dinner menu as well. The lunch menu is priced at S$48.00++ for 2-courses, or S$58.00++ for 3-courses. The dinner menu is priced at S$128.00 for prix fixe menu. A 4-course wine pairing is available for an additional S$85.00
