Gimee Face Noodle House located at one of the Hougang coffee shop is the new eatery in town. The stall is located at Yihuat Cafe coffee shop at Blk 681 Hougang Ave 8. My friend and I took quite sometime to locate this newly-renovated kopitiam during our visit.

Here is the look of the stall with shades of jade green and gold that easily caught attention upon arriving the kopitiam.

The menu photo taken from their official Facebook. There are 10 types of noodles for you to choose. The price starts from S$3.80 onwards with a basic Original Pork Noodle to premium/ “atas’ Abalone Pork Noodle at S$6.80.

We went during dinner time and luckily no queue yet. The queue started to form after we got our order. Lucky us! We ordered the Abalone Pork Noodle S$6.80 and Longevity Mee Sua Dry S$4.80.

The Abalone Pork Noodle is considered as a premium bowl of bak chor mee that comes with crunchy pork lard bits,pork slices, liver, minced pork, a meatball, a fisball, shiitake mushrooms, half marinated ramen egg and one Chinese abalone. You can opt for tomato-based or chili and black vinegar. The dry noodle comes with a bowl of soup. The midly cloudy broth is the highlight here for us. We thought the broth is flavourful and memorable as compared to their noodle. Not forgetting the house-made pork meatball tasted savoury with a nice balance of seasoning and filling.





As for the Longevity Mee Sua Dry, it comes with the marinated ramen egg with the similar ingredients except that it does not come with a whole-piece abalone. I had it non-spicy and it tasted a bit light in flavour. If you are getting this, I would suggest you to go with their sambal dressing to enhance the flavour.

Other noodles include Mala Spicy Pork Noodle, Braised Pork Rib, Teochew Fishball Noodle, Spicy Volcano Mee Kia Soup and Fragrant Seafood Laksa. I would recommend to go for their a la carte dishes like Pork Meatball Soup though.
