[SG EATS] New Station Snack Bar At Far East Plaza – The Famous Salted Egg Pork Rice Worth The Hype?
New Station Snack Bar located at Far East Plaza is known for their salted egg pork ribs rice and pocket-friendly eatery place in Orchard Road. I have been seeing good reviews online and finally have the chance to try it recently.
We arrived around 6.45pm and the place is full house. We queued for approximately 15 minutes time to secure a table. While waiting in line, we were given the menu to order. The menu is extensive that consists of zi char dishes and mains. You can refer the full menu here.
I ordered the signature Salted Egg Pork Ribs with Rice S$7.30 and topped up runny egg yolk S$0.50. Perhaps I already set my expectation on this dish. I find the salted egg pork ribs drenched in bland salted egg yolk sauce is disappointing. Even my friend who tried it agreed as well.
Next, my friend had the Teochew Hor Fun S$6.50 which is recommended in the menu. The dish has the crunchy bits of preserved radish “chai por” with wok hei aroma flavour. I would prefer this than the famed salted egg pork rice anytime.
Payment to be completed upon dishes are served. The dinner session was within an hour or less due to the limited seats and people queuing to dine in. There is other dishes that you may want to consider to try if you are planning to visit. As for me, I will not queue for the famed dish but maybe will try other zi char dishes.

Not bad. But the PRC staff really made me so angry. I bought trio eggs fried rice. She gave me plain fried rice, I told the PRC auntie where are the eggs. She look and pointed a grain sized what might look like an egg then said there. And walked away.
