[SG EATS] PATH RESTAURANT SET LUNCH DINING EXPERIENCE– MODERN ASIAN CUISINE IN MBFC TOWER 3
Path Restaurant located at Marina Bay Financial Centre is a new concept from 1855 F&B. The modern Asian restaurant is helmed by Chef Marvas Ng and it is also his inaugural restaurant in partnership with the group. Path is a contemporary restaurant that presents the heartwarming familiarity of East Asian flavours, elevated with French finesse, and layered with strong personal style and inspirations.
My friend and I decided to visit Path for lunch date to check out this newly opened restaurant. We were in love with the space especially the wall features. The wavy patterns and the colours used for the whole place give the calming, minimalist, and elegant feel. Also, spot the open concept kitchen where diners get to see the kitchen team in action.
For the menu, Path Restaurant has lunch and dinner menu featuring lunch sets and ala carte dishes. We decided to go for 3-course set lunch S$48.00++ that comprises an appetizer, main and dessert. They also have 2-course set S$39.00++ and 4-course set S$59.00++ as well. Additional add-ons for ala carte dishes are available as well.
Full menu, visit here .
And it is a sweet gesture that the restaurant has prepared hand sanitizer on each table for diners.
For appetizer, I had Duck Rillette while my friend opts for Glazed Japanese Nasu (V). My Duck Rillette comes in a form like chawanmushi presentation consists of Duck Leg, House Teriyaki Sauce, Braised Shallots, Aerated Silken Potato and Onsen Egg. Take a scoop and dive deep into the silky, creamy potato and bursting onsen egg beneath it. It was a good start of the meal.
As for my friend’s Glazed Japanese Nasu (V), she enjoyed the classic Japanese Eggplant sliced in half and brushed with Miso Sake Glaze, Soubise Puree and decorated with Garden Salad.
Moving on to our mains, I go for Iberico Pork Loin while my friend had USDA Prime Oyster Blade. For Iberico Pork Loin, the marbling of fat in it makes it super tasty and delicious served with artisanal Abacus Seeds and Dried Shrimp Ragu. The meat is flavorful, juicy and distinctive in taste while the artisanal abacus seeds were chewy and QQ in texture. Interesting combination I would say!
As for USDA Prime Oyster Blade, the prime beef is served with organic vegetables, white onion puree and beef jus. It has abundant marbling, flavourful and goes well with the sides.
Lastly, dessert time! There are 3 desserts to choose from and we decided to go for Okinawa Brown Sugar Madeleine served with Rum Candied Kumquat, Citrus Sauce and a scoop of Tahitian Vanilla Ice-cream. The dessert was perfectly tasty.
Our total bill was S$122.41 including S$8 of 750ml Aqua Panna Water, 10% service charge & 7% GST. It was almost full house during lunch time and the serving time was within 20 minutes for each dish. Kudos for the operation team! I will be back for dinner menu sometime soon.
