[SG EATS] Time for Thai – Thai Cuisine for Supper Anyone?
I finally made my way to Time for Thai located opposite Beauty World Centre over the weekend. Thanks to Sydney, I have excuses to visit this area because it is quite a distance away from where I stayed. Time for Thai is a casual Thai restaurant that offers wallet-friendly food and drinks. It is also easily accessible via Beauty World MRT station.
We were there for lunch and here are the dishes we had:
Mango Salad S$5.90
Our appetizer before our mains is served. It’s a combination of mango slaw with greens and nuts. The salad has the light, refreshing and flavourful taste.
Prawn Cake S$10.90
The prawn cake is one of their signature dish. Unlike the usual prawn cake I tried, they use whole prawn instead. Thus, this explains the price. Everyone loves the freshness of the prawn after the first bite.
Beef Noodle Soup with Tendons S$7.90
I would recommend you to try this when you are here. Rich and flavourful soup base with mixture of tendons, beef balls and beef slices. Definitely a good deal for this!
Green Curry S$7.90
The green curry comes with a choice of chicken, beef, seafood or vegetables.
Steamed Sea Bass with tangy Lemon Sauce S$24.90
We totally love this dish. They use fresh seabass and you can taste the freshness of the fish. The spicy level can be adjusted according to customers’ preferences. I personally love the tangy taste of the gravy that goes well with the fish.
Mango Sticky Rice S$4.90
Time for Thai uses mango imported from Thailand to ensure the consistency taste of the fruit. It goes well with the jasmine flavoured glutinous rice and coconut sauce. The dessert is not too sweet as well.
Red Ruby S$3.90
Unlike the red ruby I tried, the version here is less sweet. We usually have overdose of sweetness from most of the Thai restaurant but the red ruby here tasted differently. It is just nice to end the good meal.
Overall we had a good meal here. With the price stated and portion served, I personally think it is wallet-friendly especially when there is no service charge and GST. However, do take note that they only accept CASH at this moment. And Time for Thai serves no pork no lard. They also in the process of getting Halal certified. That’s great news for all. Now you know where to have Thai supper around this area.
