[SG EATS] House of MU At 11 Mohamed Sultan Road
House of MU located at 11 Mohamed Sultan Road is the latest F&B restaurant along the stretch of shop houses. “MU” here refers to Chinese character “木 ” which means wood. Apart of serving delicious food, the furniture showcased in the restaurant is available for sale. And the furniture is from Burmese teak wood. Those who are interested with the furniture can check with the staff for pricing and further information. No price is labelled on the furniture.
Good news for those who are into alcohol! This is a right place to chill out! The restaurant has a wide selection of wines and gin. Take your time to choose and enjoy every sip along with the quiet atmosphere.
The dishes we tried are prepared by head chef, Tyrell Joon, who previously worked in Michelin-starred restaurants such as Les Amis, Au Jardin and Iggy’s. Here are the dishes we shared among 4 of us.
Fresh breads S$8.00++
We started off with the freshly made breads. We loved it so much that we ordered the second basket.
Risotto with Truffle Cream Base Sauce and Crayfish with Milk Foam S$24.00++
Here in House of MU, diners can create own risotto or pasta according to individual preference at different pricing. There is a selection of base sauce follow by the optional toppings including vegetables,chicken breast, vongole, crayfish or bacon. And this is our end result! We enjoyed the well-cooked risotto with truffle flavours in it. It is creamy and satisfying!
New Zealand Lamb Rack S$32.00++
We went ‘wow’ at the first bite of this dish. The marinated lamb rack grilled using Josper oven served with garden greens. It has the smokey flavour and tender in texture. And no gamy flavour with all the spices used to marinate the lamb rack.
US Black Angus Ribeye S$32.00++
The Grass fed ribeye has a wonderful smokey flavour from the josper oven and diners can request the doneness of the beef. I would prefer medium rare and it is completed with garden greens as the side.
Munster Dessert Platter S$26.00++ (2-3 pax) | S$46.00++ (4-5pax)
This is the recommended House of Mu’s signature dessert. The platter comes with wide variety of sweet treats including the peanut “magnum” popsicle, fresh raspberry granita, macarons, caramelised bananas and many more. The whole presentation is colourful and perfect for the gram.
If you are looking for a quiet and cosy place to hang out as a couple of catch up session with friends, you can consider House of Mu. They offer affordable pricing and you can enjoy house pour wine starting from $10.00++ per glass. And it is such a rare that you will come across restaurant that offers FREE Wifi in Singapore. Don’t you agree?
