[SG EATS] The Sampan – Three-Storey Restaurant & Bar At Boay Quay

The Sampan is a three-storey restaurant and bar located at Boat Quay. The restaurant offers an Asian twist of cuisine. The restaurant has recently revamped their menu, which is helmed by their new Head Chef Ahmad. Diners can opt for outdoor dining by the river side or indoor air-con area at level 1. You can opt for private dining area on the second or third floor that overlooks Singapore River and Marina Bay Sands. It has a perfect spot to enjoy the fireworks during New Year Eve.

Silken Egg S$12.00++
The Sampan Restaurant-Silken Tauhu
Silken egg tofu served with peanut sauce and vegetable fritters that reminds me of Indonesian “Tauhu Goreng” except the recipe has been improvised with modern touch.

Pot Sticker Dumplings S$12.00++

Next, we have 2 types of salads. Spicy and Tangy Singapore Salad S$14.00++ and Crispy Thai Beef Salad S$15.00++. I prefer the Singapore Salad that comes with a refreshing taste with flavourful spices in it. The improved version of old school rojak I would say.

The Sampan Restaurant-Pandan Dessert< We were told that the ice-creams are made in-house and surprisingly it was smooth in texture and taste wise was flavourful. My favourite of the night was the Pandan Pancakes with vanilla ice-cream. Diners also can order alcoholic drinks from the drinks menu. They have interesting cocktails such as Mango Chilli Smash S$17.00++, L&L S$17.00++ and many more. You can seek for suggestion from the service staff based on your own preference.
The Sampan Restaurant
The Sampan offers quite an extensive selection of Asian dishes. For those who are working nearby, they are offering 2-Course Set Lunch Menu at S$13.90++ and 3-Course Set Lunch Menu at S$17.90++. If you are looking for a local twist, check out this place with a nice view at the outdoor dining. I wouldn’t mind coming back for the dessert though.
