[SG EATS] Cook & Tras Social Library At Six Senses Maxwell- New Gourmet Experience with European and Local Heritage Cuisine
Cook & Tras Social Library is the main restaurant and bar of Six Sense Maxwell hotel. Six Senses Maxwell located at 2 Cook Street is the sister property of Six Senses Duxton, with both locations located at Tanjong Pagar district of Singapore. Cook & Tras Social Library features a mirrored ceiling highlighting the classic décor and luxurious style of designer Garcia.
I visited the restaurant a while ago to check out the brand new Straits Heritage and Southern European menu curated by Executive Chef Ian mancais. Chef takes extra care in creating dishes that alight with Eat with Six Senses programme where uses sustainable and organic ingredients and local produce.
Vine Tomatoes & Mixed Melon S$22.00++
We started with refreshing palate that includes homemade citrus granite, burrata and lemon balm vinaigrette.
Lean Green Kale S$18.00++
I totally enjoyed the greens including kale, baby spinach, avocado, papaya, berries, citrus dust and kombucha dressing.
Steak Chimichurri
( Available in Tenderloin S$65.00++ | Ribeye S$55.00++ | Sirloin S$45.00++ cut )
Librarian’s signature juicy, smoky grass-fed red meat from Australia served with mild roasted garlic puree, confit cherry tomatoes and house-made chimichurri sauce.
Baked Barramundi S$28.00++
I would recommend fish lovers to order this Baked Barramundi served with natural yogurt, pickled pineapple achar, shredded iced leek and lemon olive oil. Fork tender fish fillet with buttery flavour goes pretty well with the sides.
Iberico Pork Sate S$9.00++
I enjoyed tender chunks of Iberico pork sate done with nice charring with soft moist meat texture. The dish served with pickled vegetables and ketupat and sate peanut sauce.
Red & Keep Popping S$16.00++
Palate cleanser before dessert is served. It is served like an oyster with sour concoction of sour plum, hibiscus and osmanthus.
Black on Black S$22.00++
Chocolate lovers can check out this 72% single origin Araguni, bamboo charcoal cherry, mascarpone, classic black forest and hints of edible gold.
Camp Fire S’mores S$20.00++
This dessert made a grand entrance with cloche of smoke over torched marshmallows, vanilla ice-cream and nuts. I am addicted after my first bite.
Apart from the all-day dining menu, do check out the cocktails and special tonics as well. The whole interior space is perfect for the gram and a nice, cosy place to chill after a long day of work. It can be a co-working space with complimentary wi-fi service.
