[SG EATS] Beast & Butterflies at M Social Hotel Singapore – Reopen with New Menu After Circuit Breaker

With Phase 2 opening and dine-in is available in Singapore now, we can see the diners are out again. I can see quite a number of people dining at Robertson Quay as I headed to Beast & Butterflies at M Social hotel for a dinner on a weekday night. My last visit to the restaurant was for their Christmas Celebration. Time Flies! I am back here to check out their new menu curated by Chef Bryce Li. We kick start the night with live cocktail demo by in-house mixologist, Vlad. He concocted new cocktail drinks to surprise us including M social signature cocktail called Social #7. We also had Social #11 – concoction of benchmark n.8, amaretto, lemon, grapefruit and egg white. What makes this cocktail special is that Vlad took a photo of us and have our selfie printed on the drink. This is rather an interesting idea for those who wants to surprise their loved ones on special occasion.Torched Salmon with Avocado Tartare S$18.00++We started with the starter the comes with my favourite ingredients – salmon and avocado chunks topped with ikura, sliced crispy shallots, ginger oil, tempura bits and garlic chips. The flavours are infused with Chinese seasonings elements in it. Hence, it is not your usual spicy to citrusy taste.

Quinoa Tabbouleh S$14.00++Quinoa Tabouleh is a healthy dish packed with fiber, complex carbohydrates and healthy fats. This dish is mixed with sea salt, lemon juice, olive oil, feta cheese, garlic and mint leaves.

Soups We tried the Lobster Bisque S$16.00++ with creamy emulsion and diced lobster and Classic Onion Soup S$14.00++, beef consomme served with gratinated Gruyere croutons.

Parma Ham and Burrata Cheese TartineThey also serve Parma ham and Burrata Cheese Taerine as sandwich option.

Charcoal Grilled Ribeye, Striploin & Kurobuta Pork ChopMeat lovers can indulge in their charcoal grilled options including chicken, lamb, kurobuta as whole or half. We had the Ribeye, Striploin and Kurobuta Pork Chop that night that comes with additional sides and sauces ( add on S$6.00++ each).

3 Cup Lobster in Claypot S$68.00++They also offer local delights in the menu and we tried this wok-fried Maine lobster cooked with rice wine, sesame oil and served with steamed rice. Oh boy! I had 3 Cup Chicken before but this is my first time with lobster. Shiok! Aromatic dish and I can smell the fragrance of the sesame oil upon serving. Be sure to enjoy it with the white rice.

Cold Cut/Cheese PlatterTo our surprise, we were served the 1 meter board of cold cut/cheese platter S$58.00++. This is superb long that comes with selection of 5 cold cuts, 5 cheese with 1 pork pate or 1 duck pate, French baguette basket, olives, gherkin, crackers, dried fruits, honey, mixed nuts and pommery mustard. You can always opt for half meter board that priced at S$36.00++.

Desserts
Molten Chocolate Cake S$15.00++Instead of the usual molten chocolate cake, it comes with a mini Magnum chocolate ice-cream. It gives a nice touch on the presentation and rich flavours and extra crunch for this dessert. It is apparently my favourite dessert to end the night.

Thai Milk Tea Pudding S$10.00++Thai Milk Tea flavoured pudding with caramelized coconut banana and evaporated milk. Beautiful presentation and the thai milk tea pudding is not tad overly sweet and it is quite refreshing as a whole.

Molten Cheese Cake S$16.00++Rich cream cheese and Valdeon cheese for cheesecake lovers.

Their signature dishes like Beast Burger, Singapore Laksa and Orh Nee brulee are still remain in the menu if you still craving for it. With the new menu launched, you can have more varieties ranging from Western to local delights that cater to everyone.

And Beast & Butterflies are going digital with the menu. All you need to do is to scan on the barcode on the table to check out the menu. It comes perfect to minimize contact and touching.

Here’s their special on-going promotion for oyster lovers. And they are still available for takeaway/ delivery island wide for those prefer to stay home and avoid the crowd. Visit their official website.
