[SG EATS] Kanada-Ya – London’s Leading Ramen Chain That Is Voted No. 1 by The Telegraph Second Outlet At Change Alley Mall, Singapore
Kanadaya is London’s leading ramen chain that is voted No. 1 by The Telegraph first flagship outlet at Paya Lebar Quarter Mall (PLQ). And starting from 15th October, their second outlet at Change Alley Mall opens for the public. The outlet is accessible via Raffles Place MRT Station. This 68 seater outlet will be having opening special. Enjoy 100% Unlimited Cash Rebate on your first meal with no minimum spend, no cap and no strings attached.
Kanada-Ya specialized in the authentic Tonkotsu ramen, the award-wining, rich and flavouful pork bone broth boiled for 18 hours before mixing in a secret sauce to add flavour and umami to the broth. It is handmade by Mr Kanasa, the founder himself and imported directly from the original restaurant in Japan.
We had the Truffle Ramen – S$22.90- Basic| S$24.90 -Regular| S$26.90-Special.
This is their London’s award-wining bowl of truffle ramen topped with belly chasu, asparagus and nori. Truffle lovers will enjoy this bowl of goodness especially the distinctive truffle aroma smell upon serving. Al-dente noodles texture with soft and tender pork collar chashu that complete the meal.
Next, we tried Spicy Yuzu Ramen – S$16.90- Basic | S$18.90-Regular | S$20.90-Special
Tonkotsu soup base flavoured with homemade spicy yuzu miso as the base and topped with the usual ingredients. Refreshing creamy soup base with distinctive yuzu flavour and slight spiciness element in it. I would suggest you to skip this if you are a spicy lover. This bowl of ramen suits for refreshing, light and yet not too fiery taste profile.
As for the appetising side dishes, we had Crab Cream Korokke, Takoyaki and Chicken Karaage. Other side dishes include Truffle Fries, Crispy Sweet Spicy Wings, Fried Gyoza and Agedashi Tofu are available in the menu.
Note: Black Garlic Ramen made with black garlic paired together with tonkotsu soup and topped with belly chashu and Vegetarian Truffle Ramen made with soy milk, vegetable dashi and truffle oil are currently only serve at Change Alley Mall.
Another good location especially at CBD area and cater to office crowd. With Phase 3 approaching soon (hopefully), there will definitely a demand especially during lunch hour. More lunch options if you are working around the area.
