The Keisuke Group’s latest venture, Chicken Yakiniku Tori Yaro is a standalone chicken speciality concept that is opening on 17th February within a coffeeshop in Geylang. Yes, you are right! It is tucked along the lively streets of Geylang in honour of the Singapore hawker culture’s recent recognition on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The Menu

The stall will offer a myriad of fresh cuts of Yakiniku options and customisable sauces for guests to choose from. As you all know, Yakiniku refers to grilled meat that comes with beef, pork and vegetables. But Chicken Yakiniku Tori Yaro specialises in chicken, with a wide selection of cuts to allow customers to taste different textures. This includes the succulent Chicken Thigh S$4.90++ or Kampung Chicken Thigh S$5.90++, Chicken Tail S$4.90++, Chicken Meat Ball S$4.90++ or Chicken Liver S$3.90++. Other unique cuts include Chicken Calvi S$5.90++, Chicken Gizzard S$3.90++, Chicken Soft Bone S$4.90++ and Chicken Heart S$3.90++. All the meats are seasoned to draw out the rich, natural flavours. The seasoning flavours include Original – a classic blend of aromatic garlic, sesame oil, salt with a crack of pepper or go for Spicy.

And of course, Yakiniku is not complete without its dipping sauces. Their signature sauces are the Original Yakiniku Sauce (shoyu-based sweet aromatic mixture of flavours), Special Miso Yakiniku Sauce (sweet and savory complement to the smoky flavours of the meat). Do not forget the runny yolk of the half-boiled Onsen Egg, which is recommended to best eaten with the Original Chilli Oil for a burst of flavours. There are more than 16 types of sauces and condiments to allow customers to customise them to their preferences too.

Apart from Yakiniku, they also Tori Yaro Chicken Ramen S$9.90++, Assorted Vegetables S$4.90++, Assorted Mushrooms S$5.90++, Butter Corn S$2.90++ or Garlic S$2.90 on the grill. Cheese lovers will wish to add on Cheese Fondue Sauce S$2.90++ and Mentaiko lovers can go for Mentai Mayo S$2.90++.
