[SG EATS] Café Aux Bacchanales Singapore – First International Outlet at Plaza Singapura
Café Aux Bacchanales Singapore opened their first overseas outlet outside Japan few months ago at Plaza Singapura. This Japanese styled French café has established since 1995 at Harajuku, Tokyo. They offer delectable spread of indispensable French classics, crafted specially for all-day dining.
First look of the space and there is a resemblance design of Hoshino Coffee. So, when I had a chat with the service crew, I found out that both cafes are under the same management. No wonder they share some similarity.
We were there for our first dine-in meal after a month long on a Monday night. The whole mall was quiet, and most restaurants are not fully occupied. The café itself has around 3-4 tables occupied during our visit though.
Here are the dishes we had during our dinner session:
Aux Bacchanales Monmarthe Champagne Ler Cru Brut S$24.80 per glass
We kick start our dinner with Café Aux Bacchanales’ exclusive champagne boastin 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Meunier and 20% Chardonnay, Ludes-France.
Galette au Jambon & Champignon S$15.80Crepe served with parmesan cheese, shoulder ham, molten egg and fried golden mushrooms. Eye-catching presentation with fried enoki mushrooms that enhance the crisp and textures of the soft crepe. Taste wise, it is savory with a touch of creamy texture with the yolk and cheese combination. But this reminds me of the crepes that I had at Gather too.
250g Ribeye Steak Frites Sauce Bordelaise S$34.80
40 days aged US Black Angus beef served with fries and red wine sauce. I requested the meat to be medium rare and the steak is a little chewy and moisture inside.
Confit de Canard S$35.80
Duck confit with fried potato and garlic. Nicely cured duck with rich, slightly salty but mellow flavour. Overall was decent but I thought the meat can be softer in texture though. I like their well-executed fried potato and garlic though.
Crepe Au Chocolat S$10.80
Chocolate crepe served with whipped cream, caramelized bananas, a scope of chocolate ice-cream and drizzled with chocolate sauce.
Tarte Au Citron S$7.80
Their lemon tart made in house from their central kitchen.
Affordable authentic French fare with wines and champagnes imported from France considering it is located conveniently in the mall. With the bistro feel space, this cafe is more of the casual dining options for shoppers.
