Hairy crab is known as an autumn delicacy as it is a seasonal delicacy within a short period each year. The fur-lined crustaceans are known as Chinese mitten crabs are usually available from end September to December. Having said that many restaurants are running promotion for this limited period and one of them is Shang Social.
Shang Social is running Jiang Nan Hairy Crab Set Menu from 26 September to 23 November this year. The set menu is priced at S$98.00++ per pax.

First up, we have the classic Braised Shanghai Gluten, Crispy Eel, Drunken Chicken, Sheet Jelly with Crab Meat and Roe as the starter.
Highlight of the menu is the Jiang Nan Hairy Crab- 2pcs (江南大闸蟹(两只). Famed for its sweetness, the hairy crab has the luxurious buttery golden roe that is well-loved by many.





Next, Minced Vegetable Pot with Superior Fish Broth and Long Kou Glass Noodle for the carbs. Lower in carbs as compared to other noodles served with light and savoury superior fish broth.

Lastly, we had Homemade Ginger Tea with Peach Gum and Glutinous Rice Black Sesame Ball as dessert. Classic dessert with chewy and sticky glutinous rice black sesame ball for black sesame lovers. Not forgetting the soft chewy peach gum for health benefits.
