Gordon Grill, Goodwood Park Hotel’s premier fine dining establishment celebrates its 60th anniversary this year with enticing month-long anniversary-exclusive offers starting from 1-30 July 2023. Originally known as the Gordon Room when it opened on 30 July 1963, the grill room assumes the title of the oldest dining establishment within the hotel. It is always good to revisit an old classic favourite, especially when they offer something interesting.
Unique tableside dining experiences continue to captivate guests at Gordon Grill with its ubiquitous beef trolley, signature Crepe Suzette dessert flambeed with flair in the presence of dinners and a popular roast wagon menu offered for leisurely weekend lunches.

In conjunction with the milestone, the restaurant is presenting an exquisite line-up of updated nostalgic creations to grace its menu throughout the year. Sharing what we had during the dinner visit recently.

A magnificent slab of Scottish Smoked Salmon is carved tableside. We get to enjoy the delicate slices that are accompanied by an array of garnishes such as onions, chives, capers, and lemon.

Cockie Leekie S$17

Savour the heart-warming flavours of this traditional Scottish soup prepared by shimmering barley, chicken, and leek in a peppery chicken stock for two hours. This bowl of goodness is comforting and makes a wholesome addition to the meal. It is a kind of meaty and hearty broth.

Indulge in a hearty stew featuring a cornucopia of pristine seafood like Hokkaido Scallops, Tiger prawns, mussels, clams, and Threadfin chunks. Brimming with the briny flavours of the sea and a spoonful of creamy, smoky, and garlicky homemade rouille stirred into the stew to elevate the taste. Complete the course with toasted French Baguette.

A timeless dish that has been enjoyed for generations; the version of Steak Diane in Gordon Grill is presents pan-fried USDA Black Angus Tenderloin flambeed table-side with a splash of brandy set ablaze! It is then cloaked in a tantalizing mushroom sauce and paired with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. What a perfect indulgence! Diners can choose their preferred doneness upon ordering.



A Chicken in a Basket S$38

Not a fan of beef, try this popular dish that originated in the 1960s, Chicken in a Basket. Half-spring chicken marinated in buttermilk, coated with a mixture of seasoned flour and spices, then deep-fried. Tender and juicy meat with a delightfully crunchy skin, complemented by sweet corn pancakes, banana fritters and grilled garlic-butter corn on the cob.

Bombe Alaska S$20

A bombe Alaska is coated with hot, high-proof rum before serving and flambeed is a reminiscent of a snow-capped mountain. A mixture of raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, and mango is sweetened with brown sugar and folded into vanilla bean ice-cream, then layered between fluffy vanilla sponge cake, on which an ethereal meringue is sculpted before it is torched till caramelized. Classic and divine treat for dessert.

Cherry Jubilee S$24

Dreamy classic dessert flavour prepared a la minute in front of diners. Cherry Jubilee starts off with cooking sweet dark pitted cherries in a pan laced with butter till slightly softened, then flambeed with brandy, and plated with a scoop of vanilla bean ice-cream and sprinkle of almond flakes.

If you’re looking for a nice dining place that serves some of the finest steaks in Singapore, this is a pretty good option to add to the list. Not to mention the refined Continental cuisine along with the unique tableside dining experiences to captivate guests while dining with them.
