[SG EATS] 3 Course Set Lunch at elan – Modern French Restaurant by Les Amis Group in Shaw Centre

Elan situated at Shaw Centre is a modern French restaurant by Les Amis group. The restaurant is in the same row as Les Amis, Mui Kee and other Les Amis concepts. They took over the previous restaurant, La Strada. My friend and I were planning for a catch-up session, and we decided to book here for lunch as they are offering a set lunch menu priced at S$60.00++ per guest on Saturdays too. I saw online reviews that the set lunch menu was previously priced at S$70.00++ per guest. So, I guess there is a price adjustment going on.

The set lunch menu comes with a starter, main course, and dessert. Coffee and teas are provided after meal with no additional charge. We started off with complimentary bread.
There are 6 starters to choose from the menu and I decided to go for Poulpe– grilled octopus served with diced tomatoes, lemons, and herbs.

For mains, I get the staff to recommend me. He suggested Supreme De Poulet, which is elan’s fried chicken, kronenbourg 1664 battered, kombu, watercress salad and Pommery mustard. It left a deep impression on the dish. I love the texture and the combination despite the presentation is not that appealing.

My friends got the signature Crevettes Obsiblue– grilled obsiblue prawns, linguini, crustacean jus and Canard-slow roasted irish duck breast, dragee,beetroots, orange sauce) for their mains.

Lastly, my choice of dessert is Madeleines. Lemon madeleines served with a scope of Don Papa Rum ice-cream). It had very good texture of madeleines. Love it!

The set lunch includes a complimentary cup of tea or coffee, providing a delightful conclusion to our lunch dates. The overall lunch experience was enjoyable, thanks to the attentive and friendly service staff. The lunch set, featuring delicious food, contributes to a pleasant dining experience. An added advantage is that the lunch set is also available on weekends, making it convenient for individuals, like myself, who are unable to partake in the set lunch promotion typically reserved for weekdays.
