Slipper Lobster meats are served into smaller cuts so that diners are able to comfortably enjoy the dish. The Hello Cel’lo is a mixture of Bankes London Dry Gin, Limoncello Liquer, Celery Bitters and Balsamico. The cocktail has the mixture taste of sourness and bitterness in it that goes well the tapas.
Kurobuta Yakiniku Donburi S$16.00 & Tales of Shu S$21.00
Grilled kurobuta pork loin with a slow-cooked egg with Japanese-style flavour to pair with Tales of Shu. Tales of Shu is freshly brewed with siphon coffee using sake, Lillet Blanc, fresh orange peel and homemade genmai cha syrup. Some may find it too strong and overpowering taste and it pairs well with the light flavoured donburi.
English Scotch Egg S$14.00 & Captain B.R S$21.00
Earl Grey Infused Rum Cocktail with Fresh Lemon and Soda Water
Wagyu & Camembert Sliders & Green Iceland
Mini burger served along with deep fried shrimp wonton and wasabi mayonnaise to pair with Green Iceland. As for this cocktail, the bartender mixes Antica Fratta Sparkling Wine, Umeshu, Lime, Brown Sugar and Mint Leaves.
Kuvo Coffee Hot Wings S$14.00 & Brewski Yen S$21.00
Wings are all time favourite anytime anywhere. And wings are always best to pair with beer. The cocktail pairing for Brewski has the Kirin beer, Suze, Lemon and Ginger Ale which is just perfect to go.
All the cocktail pairings are helmed by mixologist Yutaka Nakashima who has over 16 years of experience in bartending and cooking. We had an opportunity to see Yutaka-san in action preparing a cocktail drink for us.
If shopping in Orchard is overwhelming, KUVO would be an interesting concept for you to drop by and be here to stay. The restaurant is hidden away from the bustling city sounds and crowded people. You can just sit near to the windows and watch people walking pass from 2nd floor level.
All prices stated are before GST and service charge.
[Thanks Chen Ting & KUVO for the invite.]
