[SG EATS] MEATSMITH AT TELOK AYER
Eric (Foodie in crime) and I have this monthly dinner routine that started last year. We will explore a new place or restaurant to try out. So, in the month of January, we decided to have it at Meatsmith located at Telok Ayer. And we actually choose this place because it is listed in The Entertainer App 1 for 1 promotion. We shared the cost to purchase The Entertainer App 2016 last month for greater savings when we are dining out.
We were there on one of the weekend for dinner and greeted by the friendly staff. And after browsing through the menu, we decided to start off with 2 starters followed by two mains.
STARTERS
Crab and Kimchi Fritters with Dried Bonito S$13.00
We kicked start with this fusion elements recommended by the staff. Shredded crab meats and roll into a ball and deep fried it was starchy and flavourful. With kimchi fritters and dried bonito to complete the dish, the taste even stronger with a slight taste of spiciness in it.
Smoked Cauliflower S$11.00
The smoked cauliflower served with sliced almonds that have a strong cheese sauce taste. The overall dish was well-executed and I hope I can have more of this.
MAINS
Brisket Sandwich S$20.00
This brisket sandwich was aromatic and flavourful. With generous fillings within the buns, it is definitely a recommended dish for diners.
Half Rack Pork Ribs S$20.00
There are two options to enjoy the Pork Ribs in Meatsmith. We opted for the wet version that gives a softer meat texture with layered of spices and barbecue fragrance. The smoked flavour of the meat was succulent tender and it literally just slides off from the ribs.
I have yet to try their desserts as we decided have it somewhere else. The meal was sweeter when we use The Entertainer App. The total bill was S$52.45 after deducting S$20.00 for the redemption and inclusive of 7% GST for two pax. Totally worth the value and surely be back for more.
