[SG EATS] WASHOKU GOEN DID IT AGAIN! THEIR NEW 7th OUTLET AT CLIFFORD CENTRE

Washoku Goen has been expanding since last year and I have visited to their stall at Wisma Atria and Vivocity. Washoku Goen is known with their friendly affordable huge portion of serving especially their katsu. Their latest addition in the family is located at Clifford Centre’s Foodfare Emporium. The location is strategically located at CBD area and Raffles MRT station. For those who are working around there, you can enjoy your Japanese foods with super friendly pricing.

What can we expect from this new outlet? There are new creations such as Mushidori Original Curry Rice and Tonpei Original Curry Rice. So, my friend and I decided to give it a try.

The curry rice served with shredded cabbage and slow-cooked pork belly and finish off with a pile of soft scrambled egg. Sound delicious? True enough simple and yet satisfying with the ingredients and portion served.

As usual, the portion is very huge. They served steamed chicken instead of deep-fried chicken katsu. The steamed chicken is prepared using the chicken bone soup that is boiled for more than 2 hours. This is quite similar to our local Hainanese Chicken Rice but this dish is completed with rice and curry sauce.

The ramen is prepared with the homemade tonkotsu soup and thus explains the thickness taste of the broth. I thought it would be better if the pork taste is not overwhelming. It’s too much for my liking.

Seriously, I will sure visit the stall if I happened to be around that area. This value-for-money serving with decent taste flavours are one of valuable lunch option.
