Chotto Matte is a Japanese restaurant located within a walking distance from Outram Park MRT Station. Chotto Matte is also referring to “Please wait a second” in Japanese words. The restaurant has a peaceful dining environment situated along Blair road. There are private residences around that area along with other F&B establishments. In Chotto Matte, you get to experience a Japanese fusion-style of serving and taste.

This shophouse unit has a separate room for omakase specials and sushi and alfresco dining area. And since the space is limited, it is best to call and make reservations before going down.

There are few starters in the list and edamame is one of them.

Sashimi Platter

We had two types of sashimi that day. Salmon and Tuna Belly. Each sashimi type is priced at different pricing.

Aglio Olio Angel Hair S$38.00

Aglio Olio angel hair served with crispy sakura ebi seaweed topped with uni was photogenic and tasty. The angel hair texture was al-dente and the bubbly sakuri ebi that bursts into my mouth.

Garlic Fried Rice with Kurobuta S$32.00

The chargrilled thin sliced pork belly was nicely done. Loving the tender and juiciness in it and best to pair with the garlic fried rice.

Grilled Lamb Rack S$15.00 / piece

Although the photo seems not appealing but trusts me, it was tender and juicy. The lamb smell was not overpowering as it was covered up with the simply seasoning. Just salt and grilled it to medium rare to enjoy every bite of it.

Wagyu Foie Gras Fried Rice S$35.00

My favourite dish especially the wagyu and foie gras as part of the ingredient. Aromatic fried rice with tender and juicy beef and fatty creamy foie gras was just good for the meal. It was a savoury and memorable dish.

Lastly, you can always end your meal with something sweet. There are few ice-cream and sorbet flavours available pricing from S$12.00 onwards.

Although the foods here are generally delicious and commendable, the price is at a steep side.
