Smoothie House is another NEW F&B spotted in Westgate Mall this month of May 2016. This is an established dessert shop originated from Taipei, Yong Kang Street. And do you know that the brand is regarded by CNN as the ‘must-try’ dessert place? If you google for Smoothie House, most of if is from Taipei. Soon, you will see more reviews coming from Singapore too!

I was there with my sister on Sunday to check out the place. It was around 1pm and the dessert shop was full house. The seats are limited and customers are mainly family oriented, couples and friends.

Ordering and payments are made at the counter. The desserts are then served by the service staff. The snowflake ice desserts at Smoothie House comes in three sizes; Healthy S$7.90 , Sharing S$9.90 – S$12.90 and Family S$15.90.

Thanks to one of the staff, I am able to do a short video on how the dessert is prepared.In the video, the staff was preparing my choice of dessert; Tie Guan Yin Milky Snowflake Ice.

The ice blocks are imported directly from Taiwan and these ice blocks are infused with fresh fruit juices. The blocks are then put on top the machine to shave layer by layer. It is just like how my video shows.

We ordered Mango Snowflake Ice that comes with chunks of mangoes topped with panna cotta and Tie Guan Yin Milky Snowflake Ice with freshly cooked pearls and tie guan yin jelly.

Mango Snowflake Ice S$9.90

This is their best seller dessert with mango shaved ice and the ingredients. The snowflake ice was very soft and smooth. It is highly recommended for a fruity and refreshing dessert.

Tie Guan Yin Milky Snowflake Ice S$9.90


We ordered this because it is rather unique flavour and you can’t find it in other dessert shops. The milky shaved ice was not overpowering and I enjoyed the light and refreshing taste especially with the tie guan yin jelly. And you can pour the black sugar syrup and cooked bubbles onto your dessert according to your preferences. If you prefer light and mild taste, I would suggest this to you. I will order this again if I am back for dessert.

There is also takeaway container for the snowflake ice dessert if it is full house and you cannot wait anymore. I would still recommend eating in to enjoy the goodness with your loved ones.
