Drawing inspiration from the ancient concept of Kama which refers to the energy, desire and passion for life and the pursuit of the pleasure of the senses and aestheticism; Kama British Indian Company Kitchen & Bar is set to explode into the vibrant F&B scene with a buzz equal to its name. With over 20 years of experience in the F&B industry backing it, KAMA is forging ahead to wow the fussy local crowd with a brand new concept that promises to tantalise, reward and engage. The vibrant and dynamic F&B scene in Singapore will welcome an exciting new concept never perfected before until now. Come May 2016, an authentic yet contemporary British Indian Kitchen & Bar will be born – KAMA British Indian Company Kitchen & Bar.

The set lunch ($15++) came with a choice of one starters ( Cesar Salad or Ginger Carrot Soup), one Main ( Fish Biryani, Chicken Stew, Penne Lamb Meatball, Vegetarian Main), and one Dessert (Pistachio Creme Brulee, Scoop of ice cream or a cup of coffee/tea).
I tried their caesar salad – it was served in curry caesar dressing, croutons, tandoori chicken. The tandoori chicken was well marinated and tender. The curry caesar dressing was interesting, rarely see people used curry as a salad dressing.
Carrot Ginger Soup – Mild ginger, tomato and cream to make this bowl of soup. The ginger taste was really strong in flavour. If you are not a ginger person, I wouldn’t recommend you try it.
Next move on to my Main, the choice of my main dish was Fish Biryani – This plate of biryani was served with a piece of fish patty, papadum, picked vegetable, raita, almond mint biryani rice topped up with coriander curry. The fish patties was interesting, usually Indian restaurant will serve their fish in one slices of fish instead in a patty form!! But this fish patties was interesting and surprised me, the taste of it was memorable. The almond mint biryani rice was well combined with the fish patty too. FInal part, the curry added the extra punch to make this dish perfect.
Chicken Stew – Coriander cream, curry mash potatoes, mushroom, tomato, and chicken. The curry mash potatoes was creamy and flavorful but it was lacking of the curry aroma. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The sauce was flavorful, thick and peppery.
Don’t leave the restaurant without having their dessert!! I completed my meal with a good dessert. Pistachio Creme Brulee – cardamom pistachio with mixed berry chutney. This was the best pistachio creme brulee i had ever try so far.

My Verdict:
I enjoyed my experience at Kama British Indian Company Kitchen & Bar. I would highly recomend you guys to try their dessert, Pistachio creme brulee as it was way too awesome. The menu is quite pricey but the set lunch is affordable and worth your time and money.
