[SG EATS] CHERRY GARDEN FOR DINNER AT MANDARIN ORIENTAL SINGAPORE
Cherry Garden located at Mandarin Oriental Singapore is well-known with Cantonese cuisine. There are many online reviews on their Dim Sum as well. I visited the restaurant a week before Chinese New Year for a reunion dinner with Eric. We were equally excited to check out their CNY menu but were disappointed on the day itself. We were told that the CNY menu is required to order in advance because it is not officially launched yet. We checked out other social media platforms and were not stated at all. Thus, we were quite disappointed.
Having said that, we decided to go ahead to order from the ala-carte menu. Since it is only 2 of us, we did not order a lot. Each ala-carte dishes are available in size S, M & L.
Sweet and sour Kurobuta pork with pineapple, cucumber and capsicum S$28.00++ (S)
The kurobuta pork tasted tender and juicy. With the combination of the sweet and sour sauce, the flavours are umami.
Fish Tofu S$32.00++ (S)
My favourite dish of the night.
Fragrant fried rice with ginger scallion emulsion with scallops, asparagus and egg S$24.00 (S)
Although we ordered small size, the portion is quite generous. The taste of wok hei fried rice with generous ingredients in it. We managed to polished it off.
Total bill S$98.85 inclusive of 10% service charge and 7% GST. The food quality is indeed favourable. The service staffs are accommodating and put a smile most of the time. It was a pleasant dining experience here. I will be back to check out their dim sum soon.
