[SG EATS] SOI THAI SOI NICE- THAI HOTPOT TO SATISFY YOUR CRAVINGS
Soi Thai Soi Nice which took over Atmosphere Bistro space is the latest concept by the same group of people, SIMYEE Holdings. Soi Thai Soi Nice is a Thai hotpot restaurant with a list of Thai ala-carte dishes to explore. The interior design of the restaurant is exactly the same as Atmosphere Bistro if you are wondering. The ordering system is also same which is through ipad ordering.
So I was invited for a tasting session with fellow foodies sometime back.
Here are my 5 favourite dishes that I will go back for:
1. Royal Thai Hotpot S$38.80 for 2pax | S$68.80 for 4pax
This instagram-worthy hotpot is featured across instagram feeds and I finally got the chance to try it. Their tom yam soup base is prepared in-house and the spiciness level is still bearable for me. With the price over, the pot is filled with seafoods including crayfish, tiger prawns, green mussels, roast pork, cabbage, enoki mushrooms and chicken sausage. Add the raw egg on top of the hotpot to make your picture looks perfect when you shot from top.
2. Fried Egg Salad S$6.80
It’s my first take on fried egg salad and this is surprisingly flavourful with the fish sauce and chilli dressed salad on top of the dish.
3. Cha Om Omelette S$7.80
Not your usual omelette dish because this is exclusively available in Thai cooking. The leaves of cha om are mixed with the eggs to form an omelette. This is best to enjoy with the chilli sauce and a bowl of plain rice.
4. Hor Mok Ma Praw Talay S$12.80
Steamed egg and otah stir fried with prawns and seafood served in coconut shell. My first time trying otah in coconut shell is from Spicy Thai and I love it. I was delighted when I saw this dish served. However, Soi Thai Soi Nice added in seafood ingredients into the otah which added the sweetness to the otah spiciness.
5. Kao Niao I-Team S$5.80
Coconut ice-cream served with sticky rice and corn flakes in palm sugar syrup. The sticky rice is well-cooked and the best part is that the coconut ice-cream drizzled in palm sugar syrup marks a good ending for the meal.
